Common questions
What ID do I need?
An original, unexpired government-issued photo ID, such as a Texas driver's license or ID card, a U.S. passport or a military ID. The name should match the name on your document.
Can you tell me what my document means or fill it out for me?
No. Notaries in Texas aren't attorneys and can't give legal advice or help complete documents. If you have questions about what you're signing, talk to an attorney before the appointment.
Can you notarize a birth certificate or other vital record?
Not directly. Certified copies of vital records come from the agency that issued them. If you need one for use in another country, call me and I'll point you in the right direction.
When do I pay, and how?
The travel fee, including the facility add-on for hospital visits, is paid by card when you book online. Notary fees and any early, evening, Sunday or same-day add-on are paid at the appointment. You'll get a receipt that lists travel and notary fees separately.
What if I need to cancel?
Please cancel or reschedule at least 24 hours ahead. Travel fees aren't refunded for cancellations inside 24 hours, or if no one is at the location within 15 minutes of the appointment time.
Do you work with title companies I haven't used before?
Yes. I work with title companies, escrow officers and signing services across Central Texas. Call or email to get set up.
